The Real Estate Catch 22 - How to Avoid Getting Stuck with Two Homes or being Homeless!

Every month, many homeowners are faced with the stressful dilemma of whether to buy first or sell first. You see, if you buy before selling, you could run the risk of owning two homes. Or, just as bad, if you sell first, you could end up homeless. Its’s what insiders in the Real Estate industry call “ The Real Estate Catch 22”, and it’s an extremely anxious position to find yourself in.

My experience has taught me many things but the one thing that stands out is how frightened folks are about this potential dilemma. I have helped literally hundreds of folks navigate smoothly through this process. I have developed what I call my simple ABC approach.

A- (SELLING YOUR EXISTING HOME) Put your home on the market as soon as possible because you the seller have all the control as to when and how you will sell your home. When you list your home with Premier Realtors you never, ever have to sell your home unless you are completely satisfied with all the terms for doing so. It is also important, especially in this market, to see just how the market reacts to your home and it’s asking price. Under our plan even if you get a full price offer you don’t have to sell your home.

B- (BUYING YOUR NEW HOME) While we are trying to sell your home we will be helping you find the one you’ll want to buy. We will supply you with all the information on the homes available that meet your criteria and we will arrange to show you any homes that you in fact wish to view. It is very important to have as much information as possible in order to make these most critical decisions.

C- (CLOSE SIMULTANEOUSLY) The only way that I know this to be possible is with a well thought out plan and that is exactly what we provide. The hypotheticals in this catch 22 are endless but ultimately with our plan you, our client, are in complete control of your own destiny, fortunately you will benefit greatly from our experience.

Most people I have come across have the same concerns about this issue and most start out by trying to find a home first, ask that seller to wait (Seller usually Laughs) and then put their home on the market and pray something happens fast (In this Market?). Unfortunately those folks usually end up pretty frustrated because they try it B-A-C, which just so happens to be the first three letters of BACKWARDS.
